This guide is for candidates who have been invited to the PlacementPilot AI platform by their organization.

Welcome to PlacementPilot AI

PlacementPilot AI helps you prepare for placements by:

  • Tracking your interview progress
  • Providing feedback from assessments
  • Storing your reports and achievements
  • Connecting you with placement opportunities

Getting Started

Account Activation

When your organization activates your account, you'll receive an email with:

  1. A welcome message from your organization
  2. Instructions to set your password
  3. A link to the login page

First Time Login

  1. Click the link in your activation email
  2. Set a secure password (at least 8 characters)
  3. Log in at placementpilot.ai/login

Your Dashboard

After logging in, you'll see your personal dashboard with:

  • Upcoming Interviews: Your scheduled video interviews
  • Recent Assessments: Latest feedback from staff
  • Reports: Your placement reports and summaries
  • Profile Status: Your profile completion indicator

Your Profile

Viewing Your Profile

  1. Click My Profile in the sidebar
  2. View your contact information, department, batch, and resume

Your organization manages your profile information. Contact your placement coordinator for updates.

Interviews

Upcoming Interviews

The Interviews section shows:

  • Scheduled interview date and time
  • Interview type
  • Staff members conducting the interview
  • Status (Scheduled, Completed, Cancelled)

Joining a Video Interview

When it's time for your interview:

  1. Go to Interviews
  2. Find your scheduled interview
  3. Click Join Interview (available 5 minutes before)
  4. Allow camera and microphone access
  5. Wait for the interviewer to join

Before Your Interview

Technical preparation:

  • Test your camera and microphone
  • Use Chrome browser for best experience
  • Find a quiet, well-lit location
  • Close unnecessary applications
  • Have a stable internet connection

Professional preparation:

  • Review your resume
  • Research the topic/company
  • Prepare questions to ask
  • Dress professionally
  • Be ready 5 minutes early

During the Interview

  • Look at the camera, not the screen
  • Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
  • Take brief pauses to think before answering
  • Ask for clarification if needed
  • Stay professional and engaged

Reports

Your Reports

Reports summarize your placement readiness:

  • Individual Report: Detailed analysis of your profile
  • AI Summary: AI-generated insights and recommendations
  • Score Overview: Visual display of assessment scores

Viewing and Downloading

  1. Go to Reports in the sidebar
  2. Click on any report to view
  3. Click Download to save as PDF

Reports can be shared with potential employers.

Troubleshooting

Can't Log In

  1. Check your email for the activation link
  2. Reset password using "Forgot Password"
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Try a different browser
  5. Contact your placement coordinator

Video Interview Issues

Camera/mic not working:

  1. Check browser permissions
  2. Close other apps using camera
  3. Refresh the page
  4. Try Chrome browser

Poor connection:

  1. Use a wired internet connection
  2. Close other bandwidth-heavy apps
  3. Move closer to your router
