How NIT Raipur runs placement readiness on PlacementPilot AI

The National Institute of Technology Raipur uses PlacementPilot AI as the operating layer for its placement cell. This is the anchor partnership the product was hardened against — every workflow on the platform was either built or shaped by an NIT Raipur request.

Cohort scale

Across multiple branches

Outcomes

  • Centralised the placement readiness signal for 1,000+ candidates in one operating dashboard
  • Replaced per-cohort spreadsheets with batch-level readiness scoring and assessment tracking
  • Generated AI-enhanced PDF reports per candidate, eliminating manual report-writing for the placement cell
  • Scheduled and tracked mock interviews via Daily.co with structured rubric scoring

What the placement cell uses

NIT Raipur uses the platform end-to-end. The modules currently live in their workflow:

  • Batch management for full cohort intake
  • Assessment scoring (1–10 scale) by placement officers
  • AI resume analysis with ATS-style scoring
  • Mock interview infrastructure (video + rubric)
  • PDF report generation with OpenAI-enhanced summaries
  • Recruiter logging and drive scheduling

Why an NIT picked an early-stage product

Most placement software in India is built for the recruiter side of the table — applicant tracking systems with a placement skin. NIT Raipur was looking for the inverse: a tool built around the placement officer's actual day. That meant batch-level readiness signal first, AI assistance second, and recruiter workflow third.

The product evolved against their specific cohort scale. Features that didn't survive NIT Raipur's usage in production didn't ship to other institutions. Features that did are now the spine of the platform.
